Note; Can a Juror determine truth without hearing ALL of the evidence?  It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that one hear ALL of the evidence, beginning with Part #1 of these posts!

       In Part #14, the JURY heard the TESTIMONY of "Documented Human History" regarding the ALMOST 2300 year old PAGAN ROMAN "World Superpower" Title of Religious Authority, "Pontifex Maximus".

       The JURY heard TESTIMONY that;

  • In the PAGAN ROMAN IMPERIAL STATE;

           -starting in 27 BC, the Emperor was AUTOMATICALLY declared a God, thus assuming the Title "Pontifex Maximus".

       At that time, the election of the "Pontifex Maximus" was terminated.

       Under Trajan, the Empire reached its territorial peak.

       Republican mores and traditions started to decline during the imperial period, with civil wars becoming a common ritual for a new emperor's rise.

       Emperor Alexander Severus waged war against many foes, like the revitalized Persia and German peoples who invaded Gaul.

       His losses made the soldiers dissatisfied with the emperor, and some of them killed him during his German campaign, in 235 AD.

       A disastrous scenario emerged after the death of Alexander Severus in 235 AD:

  •     the Roman state was plagued by civil wars, external invasions, political chaos, pandemics and economic depression.

       The old Roman values had fallen, and Mithraism and Christianity had begun to spread through the populace.

       The JURY SHOULD NOTE that TWO Religious Groups were RISING within the ROMAN IMPERIAL STATE BEFORE 100 AD;

  • CHRISTIANITY

  • The Mithraic Mysteries

       The Mithraic Mysteries were a mystery religion practised in the Roman Empire from about the 1st to 4th centuries AD.

       The JURY SHOULD NOTE;

  •        Could this be our "Mystery Babylon"?

      The name of the Persian god Mithra, adapted into Greek as Mithras, was linked to a new and distinctive imagery.

      Writers of the Roman Empire period referred to this mystery religion by phrases which can be anglicized as Mysteries of Mithras or Mysteries of the Persians;

      Since the early 1970s, however, the dominant scholarship has noted dissimilarities between Persian Mithra-worship and the Roman Mithraic mysteries, and the mysteries of Mithras are now generally seen as a distinct product of the Roman Imperial religious world.

       In this context, Mithraism has sometimes been viewed as a rival of early Christianity.

      The name Mithras (Latin, equivalent to Greek "Μίθρας",) is a form of Mithra, the name of an Old Persian god.

       An early example of the Greek form of the name is in a 4th century BC work by Xenophon, the Cyropaedia, which is a biography of the Persian king Cyrus the Great.

       Mithras is depicted as being born from a rock.

       According to M.J.Vermaseren, the Mithraic New Year and the birthday of Mithras was on December 25.

       However, Beck disagrees strongly.

      Clauss states: "the Mithraic Mysteries had no public ceremonies of its own.

       The festival of natalis Invicti [Birth of the Unconquerable (Sun)], held on 25 December, was a general festival of the Sun, and by no means specific to the Mysteries of Mithras.

       The idea of a relationship between early Christianity and Mithraism is based on a remark in the 2nd century Christian writer Justin Martyr, who accused the Mithraists of diabolically imitating the Christian communion rite.

       Tertullian wrote that as a prelude to the Mithraic initiation ceremony, the initiate was given a ritual bath and at the end of the ceremony, received a mark on the forehead.

       The JURY SHOULD NOTE that this VERY SAME mark is described in the Book of Revelation!

       He described these rites as a diabolical counterfeit of the baptism and chrismation of Christians.

       Justin Martyr contrasted Mithraic initiation communion with the Eucharist:

  • For that bread and a cup of water are in these mysteries set before the initiate with certain speeches you either know or can learn.

       Marvin Meyer comments that "early Christianity ... in general,

  • resembles Mithraism in a number of respects – enough to make Christian apologists scramble to invent creative theological explanations to account for the similarities."

       Yamauchi, pointing out that most of the textual evidence for Mithraist doctrine was written after the New Testament was in broad circulation, posits that it is more likely that Mithraism borrowed from Christianity than the other way around.

       It is often stated that Mithras was thought to have been born on December 25.

       But Beck states that this is not the case.

      In fact he calls this assertion 'that hoariest of "facts"'.

      He continues: "In truth, the only evidence for it is the celebration of the birthday of Invictus on that date in Calendar of Philocalus.

  • 'Invictus' is of course Sol Invictus, Aurelian's sun god.

       Ladies and Gentlemen of the JURY, is "Christmas" really the celebration of Christ's birth?

       Did "Christians" convert ALL PAGANS when the DIE HARD Mythriac Mysteries simply evaporated around 400 AD as the world believes

- or is Scripture attempting to reveal that THE OPPOSITE IS TRUTH?

       Is Scripture warning us that what WE KNOW TODAY as "Christianity",

is a HARLOT "Sun Worshiping" "Mystery" RELIGION?

That has deceived, and IS DESTROYING those that TRULY SEEK GOD,

Which STILL celebrates the "birth of Mithra" on December 25th each year

Created by Ancient Roman Pagan Sun Worshipers who simply started wearing a "cross" around their necks?

Revelation 17 (KJV)

And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

       In 284 AD, Diocletian was hailed as Imperator by the eastern legions.

       Diocletian was also responsible for a significant Christian persecution.

       In 303 AD, he and Galerius started the persecution and ordered the destruction of all the Christian churches and scripts and forbade Christian worship.

       Diocletian abdicated in 305 AD together with Maximian, thus, he was the first Roman emperor to resign.

       Constantine assumed the empire as a tetrarch in 306 AD.

       In 313, Constantine issued the Edict of Milan, which granted liberty for Christians to profess their religion.

       Constantine was converted to "ROMAN Christianity", enforcing the "ROMAN Christian" faith.

        The JURY SHOULD QUESTION;

  • Did "ROMAN CHRISTIANITY" embrace the testimony of Christ, or the Mithras "copy cat"?

  • Did Christians REALLY win the "TRUTH battle", or did the "Great Deceiver"?

  • Is Revelation trying to tell us that what we know today as Christianity, is REALLY the "Mystery Religion" copy-cat?

      According to "Documented Human history", Constantine began the "ROMAN Christianization" of the Empire and of Europea process concluded by the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages.

       In the next Post, the JURY will hear the Testimony of the "Christianization of Constantine".
